Elected to serve
Toby was raised in Central Oregon when his family moved here in 1979. Spending most of his time in Bend and Tumalo, Toby’s first real visit to La Pine was in the early 80’s to have lunch his my dad as he worked on the ‘New’ La Pine High School. Toby graduated from Lewis Clark State College with a degree in education in 1996 after which he and his new wife Jennifer returned to Central Oregon. In 1999 they moved to La Pine with two young boys and third on the way. Toby and Jennifer have raised their sons in La Pine where their family has been active in sports, rodeo, the community and church. “We have been blessed with a great parish community, athletic coaches, community organizations and friends. As a member of the La Pine Park and Rec board of Directors I look forward to giving back to the community that has given me so much.”
Over ten years ago my husband, Danny, and I retired to La Pine from Palm Desert, California. We have been married for almost forty years, have two sons and one grandson. In Palm Desert I served as a member of the City’s Park and Recreation Commission, President of Palm Desert Youth Sports Association, the DSUSD Advisory Board and worked at the Coachella Valley Recreation and Parks District as a Recreation Manager. During the time I have lived in La Pine I have served as a member of the Bend Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors and Vice President of the La Pine Community Action Team. Currently I am President of the Ya Ya Sisterhood Society and a Board Member for the La Pine Community Health Center. Serving the community is very important commitment to me and I am proud to be serve on the La Pine Parks and Recreation Board.
