Community Schools Program

La Pine Park & Recreation District Community School Program is an exciting after school program for the youth of La Pine!  Middle School and High School students have now have the opportunity to receive tutoring and homework assistance Monday through Thursday through our Tutoring Assistance Centers located at each school.

K-5 Soccer Registration Opens Feb. 1st!

Season consists of up to 8 Games that will be played on weekdays. All games and practices will be held in La Pine. We are in need of many coaches this season, as we would like to divide our league into 3 divisions. 6th Grade Girls Volleyball


Join your friends for a great volleyball season through our partner Bend Metro Parks and Recreation District Volleyball League. This is a great opportunity for beginning to advanced volleyball players to gain experi- ence on the court and improve their skills. THIS IS ANOTHER EXCITING ADDITION to our youth programs. Practices will be held in La Pine, games will be in Bend on Wednesdays.

Kenpo Karate

Physically, Kenpo Karate is an art of self-defense that enables one to defeat their opponent by administering a strike or kick to the vital areas of their opponent’s anatomy. Mentally, it is a defensive study that cultivates the explicitness of serenity and tranquility, which promotes the betterment of personality and mind. Spiritually, with the understanding of discipline through rigorous training, the coordination of mind and body function to create a better self. In the physical of Kenpo, the student is bound to humility and self-restraint.

During the course of training with the La Pine K.J.B.A., our intentions are to acquaint each student with the proper physical mechanics of each defensive technique. Teach each student the science of schooling violence properly, so they can understand the differences in its usage. In each student’s progress of instruction a philosophy will be instilled that deals with the structure of personal accomplishment and proper etiquette.

Classes are held at Rosland Elementary School on Mondays and Thursdays. Beginner Classes are from 6 pm to 7 pm (All ages) and Adveanced Classes are from 7 pm to 8 pm (Advanced students only). Call Joe Pace for more information at (541) 419-7975.
